BillingTree was using direct mail with gift cards as an incentive to connect with their customers. The sales process sounded simple: schedule a sales presentation and the client received a gift card. Then reality set in.

Booking a meeting was hard. Booking a meeting with a high value target was impossible. Meetings that were scheduled often resulted in a face to face with those unable to make decisions for the company, a waste of resources for both parties involved.

BillingTree needed to get the attention of decision makers. Being a company on the leading edge of financial technology, they wanted a technological solution.

Instead of reaching out to a purchased mailing list of thousands of names, we targeted BillingTreeā€™s top 100 prospects with a high-value deliverable that would immediately capture their attention and leave a remarkable, lasting brand impression.

Our team designed, manufactured, and mailed 100 rugged, locking cases, branded to BillingTree, secured with two combination padlocks. The exterior of the case and an accompanying personalized notecard explained that it contained an Amazon gift card worth up to $100. The catch? We didnā€™t include the combination.

These prospects were significant individuals, often C-Level executives, our team wanted to ensure the BillingTree brand left a real impression, so we built in a second surprise. Opening the case revealed a fully branded interior with a video player embedded in the lid. The video player automatically activates whenever the case is opened, playing an animated video pitch created by the UviaUs team specifically for this campaign.

Overwhelming success. Rather than BillingTree spending dozens of working hours trying to get their prospects on the phone, prospects began calling BillingTree themselves.

Over 60% of the prospects who received the mailing have reached out to BillingTree, and 15% of those prospects have converted to opportunities. To date, BillingTree has closed over a quarter of those opportunities, with a revenue of $159,902.04. Thatā€™s a lot of billing. Theyā€™ve already achieved an ROI over 700%, and they still have nearly $200,000 worth of opportunities generated by the UviaUs campaign in their pipeline.
