A Unique Video Press Kit – Gillette | Rio 2016 Olympics

Ahead of the 2016 Olympic Games in Rio de Janeiro, Gillette, the world’s leading male grooming brand, created an epic video that provides a glimpse into the training regimes of Olympic athletes Neymar Jr., Ning Zetao, Ashton Eaton, and Andy Tennant as a part of their #PerfectIsntPretty campaign. Gillette upped the ante even further by coupling their video with a custom music track written by award-winning recording artist Sia, featuring producer Ariel Rechtshaid and rapper Pusha T (watch the video here).

Gillette knew a video that special called for a truly unique delivery mechanism–luckily, that’s our specialty at UviaUs. 

In partnership with the marketing agency Ketchum, our team conceived, designed, and manufactured a custom video presentation box to debut the video to members of the press, packaging it along with a Gillette Fusion ProShield razor.

To make this a truly remarkable experience, our designers hid the LCD display behind a mirrored surface in the lid of the press kit. The two-way mirror renders the 4.3″ high definition display invisible until the video begins, appearing like magic from behind the reflection.
